# Dreamward

> Dreamward is a private life-design app: a book of twelve life areas, a current life chapter, an IKIGAI wizard, goals with measurable progress, a journal and vision boards, with an AI companion that runs on the user’s own AI subscription. It is the second generation of Lifebook, and it runs as a desktop app or self-hosted, in English and Hebrew.

## Problem

A life plan written once a year stops living. Goal apps don’t hold a vision, notes apps don’t drive action, and the content is too personal to hand to a SaaS company.

## Approach

Start from meaning — a life chapter, a life wheel and IKIGAI — then break it into goals and actions. Every account gets its own database; AI proposes, the person approves.

## Outcome

First public release, v0.4.0, with desktop installers and one-line self-hosting. Its first generation, Lifebook, went from first release to v0.3.1 in 26 days.

1. **Life chapter** — Up to five focus areas, a “not now” list and an anti-vision.
2. **Life wheel & IKIGAI** — Rate each area against your vision, then find what the whole life is for.
3. **Goals & actions** — Progress, momentum and at-risk signals, down to the next small step.
4. **Lify, on your own AI** — Daily plan, weekly review and goal drift — proposals you approve, never silent edits.
